My sons (1 & 5) and I watched this for the first time in a couple years... my 5 year old wanted to watch it again right away -- he was very into the plot line! My 1 year old was captivated while the balls were bouncing and singing. If they're going to be watching tv, it might as well be something good for their heads AND their hearts! Would recommend the Good Sports Gang movies to anyone with young children--they're not annoying like some of those other kid programs out there (like Barney, Elmo, Dora, Wow Wow Wubzy, etc.)... Good Buy!!

Kids Love Spanish: Volume 3 - Family Review

I have two toddlers ages 2.5 and 1.5 and have been searching for the right vehicle to introduce them to Spanish. I bought all seven of the Kids Love Spanish DVDs because we were wearing out the one we bought originally! My two-year-old is so fascinated with the kids on the video he just sits there and repeats the Spanish words. Working the Spanish vocabulary into our family dinners has become a nightime ritual in our household. I think he has more fun with these words than with new English words because he thinks HE'S teaching US new words that he learned first!

My husband and I feel a lot more comfortable with our kids watching this series than even the popular educational TV programs out there because this feels so much more interactive to us, like we're engaging in a game with our children because we're all so actively involved in learning together. I hope other people's children enjoy this DVD as much as ours do!

Probably the greatest animated movie ever made, "The Lion King" became the highest money maker at the boxoffice in 1994 and went on to win two Academy Awards for its music written by Sir Elton John and Tim Rice. The story focuses on a young lion cub who is recued by his father after nearly being tramled to death by wild animals. The father, a King over his land, dies, and the cub Simba, runs away thinking he is to blame for his dad's death. In actuality it is Simba's evil uncle Scar who is responsible for this untimely death as he himself wants to be the heir over the land. A tearjerker in every sense, "The Lion King" was the first animated film to ever tackle the issue of death with children, and it is highly regarded for its sensitive approach in dramatizing this rare subject matter, especially to preschoolers. I love "The Lion King" and it is one of those rare films you can watch in numerous showings. The actors doing the voices of the characters are a who's who in Hollywood featuring James Earl Jones, Madge Sinclair, Jeremy Irons, Whoppi Goldberg, and Matthew Broderick. The DVD itself is long out-of-print as Disney shoved the film back into its archives several years ago, the same way it did with many of its titles, but there are many here on Amazon to buy from individual sellers. Talk is the Blue-Ray version of "The Lion King" may have a 2010 release so there is every reason to speculate that another DVD edition is in the works. Since its 1994 release "The Lion King" has grossed nearly 0,000,000 worldwide.

Not an ideal choice for younger kids, this hip and violent animated feature from Disney was nevertheless a huge smash in theaters and on video, and it continues to enjoy life in an acclaimed Broadway production. The story finds a lion cub, son of a king, sent into exile after his father is sabotaged by a rivalrous uncle. The little hero finds his way into the "circle of life" with some new friends and eventually comes back to reclaim his proper place. Characters are very strong, vocal performances by the likes of Jeremy Irons, Nathan Lane, and Whoopi Goldberg are terrific, the jokes are aimed as much (if not more) at adults than kids, the animation is sometimes breathtaking, and the music is more palatable than in many Disney features. But be cautious: this is too intense for the Rugrat crowd. --Tom Keogh

How good-looking is the DVD restoration of Disney's popular animated film? Take a look at the serviceable but dull film clips incorporated in the plethora of extras and compare them to the vivid gorgeousness of the film presentation. This "special edition" also adds a 90-second song ("Morning Report") that originated in the lavish stage musical. To Disney's credit, the original theatrical version is also included, both restored and featuring two 5.1 soundtracks: Dolby Digital and a new Disney Enhanced Home Theater Mix, which does sound brighter. As with the Disney Platinum line, everything is thrown into the discs, except an outsider's voice (the rah-rahs of Disney grow tiresome at times). The excellent commentary from the directors and producer, originally on the laser disc, is hidden under the audio set-up menu.

The second disc is organized by 20-minute-ish "journeys" tackling the elements of story, music, et cetera, including good background on the awkward Shakespearean origins at Disney where it was referred as "Bamlet." The most interesting journey follows the landmark stage production, and the kids should be transfixed by shots of the real African wildlife in the animal journey. Three deleted segments are real curios, including an opening lyric for "Hakuna Matata." Most set-top DVD games are usually pretty thin (DVD-ROM is where it's at), but the Safari game is an exception--the kids should love the roaring animals (in 5.1 Surround, no less). One serious demerit goes to the needless and complicated second navigation system that is listed by continent, but just shows the same features reordered. --Doug Thomas

I never had a chance to watch the original series, puppets seemed a little creepy to me. That being said I loved this movie. Yes there were moments as other have described as corny but I like that about this movie. I like the family dynamic and the actors as well. So what that there were previous movies done with themes of children being the heroes but I like that. I likes all those movies they were fun to watch. It makes the movie more childish and goofy which is a recipe of fun at least for me. Definately watch this movie it is cute. Unlike a lot of movies I like out there if I have kids someday this is a movie I can definatley watch with them and enjoy.

Road to Avonlea Season 1 Review

Avonlea was a series I watched as a child and am blessed enough to now have every season on DVD. The acting is well done, my favorite characters being Felix, Felicity, Gus and Izzy (probably because I'm a romantic). Watching these children develop their acting skills was a great process. I recommend this entire series for everyone. They are constantly witty. Humor is infused in every episode. You can watch EVERY episode with your children (or by yourself). It is better than any current so-called "family" show. Owning it is important to me so that I can some day have it for my children. It should be noted that the series Avonlea and the Anne of Green Gables movies are not really related. There are a few crossover characters but for the most part it is a completely different show. But still amazingly well done and family friendly.

Pirate Kids - Blackbeard's Lost Treasure Review

I watched this movie since it was filmed on location in my home state of North Carolina. I wasn't expecting much because I knew it had not been released in the theaters, but I was pleasantly surprised at how much movie the director got out of his budget and how much performance he got from his young talent. The youthful actors in the movie who foil adult pirates act like real kids - not some version of adolescence played by some spoiled Hollywood style of child actors trying to play real kids. If you have young kids (say under 13) who have active imaginations about being heroes, finding treasure, etc., get this movie and play it for them. You can't go wrong. No sex, no cursing, no real violence - this is a movie your kids will like and one that the adults can trust will not be sneaking in something they don't want their young'uns to see or hear.

I hear that Pirate Kids II is almost ready for release. I'll be getting that one too.

Based on a Dashiell Hammett short story that became a good Hope vehicle. It's a Christmas story that is better than its reputation. Once again Hope is in trouble, this time with organized crime. He's short of cash, is on a short deadline & so he goes out scamming with his buddies as bellringers!The featured song is "Silver Bells", a duet performed by him & the female lead Marilyn Maxwell.

The DVD quality is good but there aren't any extras. Enjoy this any time of year but, especially, at Christmas. There has never been very many comedians at the same level as Bob Hope, enjoy watching one of the best comics of his day, or any day, for that matter.

The Lemon Drop Kid Overview

Bob Hope plays a small-time con artist with a fondness for lemon candy in this film based on a Damon Runyon story. When the Lemon Drop Kid accidentally cheats gangster Moose Moran (Fred Clark) out of his track winnings, the Kid promises to repay Moose the money by Christmas. Creating a fake charity for "Apple Annie" Nellie Thursday, the Kid tricks his gang into donning Santa suits and "collecting dough for old dolls" like Nellie who have nowhere to live. Radio personality Marilyn Maxwell assists as the Kid's girlfriend, while William Frawley and Jay C. Flippen play the lovable, gruff crooks that fall for the Kid's Santa scam.

Hope is great as the fast-talking sharpster, and the comical gangsters are well worth the price of admission. Music by Ray Evans and Jay Livingston (including the classic Christmas song "Silver Bells") makes The Lemon Drop Kid that much sweeter. --Mark Savary

I bought this for my 3-year old daughter, and she absolutely loves it! It is a terrific movie, geared towards children, but honestly, I loved it almost as much as she did! My 9-year old son has watched it about a dozen or so times also.
Teaches valuable lessons, a great music score, and a fantastic cast makes me want more of these types of movies!
Can't go wrong with this one, I'd buy it again when this one wears out :)

three kids with over-active imaginations poke around in an old man's stranded ship, only to find out that's he a descedant to a famous pirate captain. the four soon become friends until a blowhole used car salesman tries to steal the old man's treasure. the old man is set up for a crime he didn't commit and is sent to jail. the kids bust him out using muskets and rapiers and the crew steals the treasure back from the blowhole and sets things right. this movie is slow, but if you like pirate action with kids involved, like Goonies, or peter pan, then you might like this one. basically, an old man gives three funny kids real swords, and they all start a lot of trouble. but, even though most of it is slow, the movie is rad, and the pirate lore is cool too.

So Smart - Letters Review

I have a 5 year old and a 5 month old. I am currently purchasing the DVDs for my new daughter and my newphew (6 mos). I've had the VHS trilogy for my son since he was born and want the updated DVD's -- though I play the videos for my daughter now and she loves them. They are incredible. The music selections are fantastic, recognizable, yet well considered. Peter and the Wolf, for example, was my favorite selection.

One reviewer said she was unimpressed with the "basic graphics." Let me remind them that this video is not for them, it's for their child, who likes it. I've NEVER seen a child not love these. I once held an all ages play group, my son was the youngest at 2, the children went up to 8. They started to get a little wild and as soon as I put on the video they ALL stopped in their tracks and started watching it. It's phenomenal.

These make the most wonderful gift for either your child, or for a niece/nephew/friend. I cannot say enough wonderful things about these programs -- they teach letters, shapes, and are better able to hold a child's interest than any other baby video out there (and we have baby einstein, too). the music is better as well. yes, the graphics are basic and frankly, a little odd sometimes -- but there is nothing i would hesitate to show to a child.

by the way -- my 5 year old comes in every time i put the video on for my daughter and watches it with her. he recognizes the music when he hears it elsewhere and gets excited when selections from familiar ballets, programs, are played. (i.e. the nutcracker, peter and the wolf, etc.)

The Brainy Baby ABCs video is absolutely the BEST! I would give ALL Brainy Baby DVDs 5 stars. These videos really work, I don't care what anyone says and I've got the proof in my own children. Don't believe all the reports that "DVDs are bad" for your kids. There is GOOD stuff out there and Brainy Baby is definitely one of them. I am very concerned about some of these negative reviews. Please, already... are you kidding? I have not found ANY problems or mispronunciations in the ABCs video or any other video. Also, concerning the one reviewer that said she personally didn't like the video or that it didn't have high production value... It's not about you. It's about your child. If your child learns from these DVDs, then who cares if YOU like it or not? A two or three year old is also not impressed with high production value (special effects, talent, etc). That's what I love about Brainy Baby; they have a pure, simple approach to learning that really engages my children. That is why I get the learning results. For those people who would continue to be negative, please do not assume that your comments are correct and pass them off to consumers as the truth. You are only confusing parents and short-changing children from a huge benefit. Brainy Baby products are fantastic and a real life saver. Unless you plan on producing the "perfect" DVD, please don't spread untruths, just because a certain product doesn't line up with your preference. We should all be supporting companies like this that are doing a good thing for our kids... unless we all want to see LESS products available in the near future!

This movie is a very good movie. I watched this sometime ago probably 7-8 years ago. And I just watched it again couple days back. And after I watched it again couple days back, I was like "This really is a good movie". To be just a average movie, nothing big class, its a very good movie. Actually, better than a lot of higher class movies.

This movie is about a kid with some good Martail Arts movies, and I do mean some good ones. Its just like a Karate Kid all over again, but with less training and more action. I really injoyed this movie. Was my 1st movies watching T. J. Roberts in action, and I really liked this upcoming Martial Arts star. But now in 2005, he has done nothing for a long time. And he was a very good star at that, just hated to see him disappear just as quick as he appeared. Would have been a awesome Martail Arts star to this day. He is one hell of a good martail arts kid. Love this movie, and all of his 4 other movies.

Legacy - The Origins of Civilization [3 DVD Set] Review

This is a wonderful series...beautifully photographed, and thoroughly engrossing. Michael Wood's enthusiasm for his subject is infectious. His narration is far from stale lecture - it is accessible, expressive and deeply moving at times.

What I enjoyed most about the series was the fact that there were no "dramatic re-enactments" of historical places, people and events. (...as NBC did in a mini-series made a few years after the release of "Legacy," complete with lots of simulated violence.) Rather than using computer generated models of cities, Wood takes us to the actual sites, passes through their crumbling walls, walks their time-worn streets and makes them come alive for us.

Many of those cities are inhabited to this day, and rather than use costumed actors to depict the ancient residents, we instead see them reflected in the faces of their living descendants. We see how something of the ancients endures to this day in the appearance and customs of common people, often in unexpected ways. We learn that human nature hasn't changed over the millenia as much as we might like to believe it has...a bit disheartening at first, but Wood shares his hope that we might learn from the mistakes of those who came before us.

I had just started to transfer my worn VHS tapes to DVD when I discovered they are now available in that format!

They Made Me a Criminal Review

John Garfield stars as Johnnie, a prize figher with a distinctive style of fighting. He unfortunately takes it too far and accidentally kills a reporter, forcing him to take action. However, two of his friends (including the beautiful Ann Sheridan) die in an automobile accident, and the cops mistake one of them for Johnnie. In an attempt to save his skin, Johnnie flees to the countryside where he stumbles upon a home for wayward boys (The East Side Kids). He becomes a role model for the boys and eventually learns not to be so selfish.

Suprisingly, Garfield is not the big attraction for this film. Instead, The East Side Kids take presidence over the star. They have their own brand of talent stemming mainly from truth. Here, none of them stand out above the other, both a good and a bad thing, depending on how you look at it. Leo Gorcey shoots his mouth off, but he is hardly the leader he came to be in later films. Huntz Hall is the goofy comic relief. Bobby Jordan is the innocent little brother type. The boys work exceptionally well in a tense swimming scene in a water silo, the most memorable part of the film.

This movie has all the makings of a b-movie, but it's cast makes it highly enjoyable.

I bought this for my kids because they like to watch movies, but I wanted something that would get them off the couch. This did it. I used to pop it in every morning for my 3 and 4 year old while I got the older kids off to school. I never really sat down and watched it with them after the first time. A few weeks later my 3 year old pops it in and is doing the entire workout video all by himself. I'll tell ya what, I've got a really fit 3 year old now, his belly is completely gone and his legs have thinned out (yes he eats like a pig still). He can even do push ups, even better than his 10 year old sister! I highly recomend this video to everyone.

Hip Hop Shop Review

I got this video for my 5 1/2 yr old to begin to get some experience in "party" dancing. The moves are very easy to follow. She loves the video, as does her younger 3 1/2 yr old sister. They have watched it 5 or 6 times now and still love it. While the oldest is not a master of the moves yet, it is exactly what I was looking for. It is a video that introduces her to some dance steps, while encouraging her to create her own. It allows her to have fun (not sit in front of the TV) and learn some dance moves at the same time. I would expect that if she continues to watch the video that it would help her get some confidence and be able to dance. Although the video is not necessarily for 5 year olds, she is able to "try" the moves and should be able to get them down after practicing. I think this video has "staying power" -- they will use it for a few years.

I would recommend this for someone looking for a basic dance video. It is good for 5 year olds on up to early teens. (My husband and I were even trying out some moves!) Keep in mind it is hip hop, not the waltz. It is good for kids learning to dance with other kids. And I agree with another reviewer, I was pleased that it is not too racy for childen -- it is in quite good taste.

After they get the moves down, I will try the Hip Hop Shop 2.

What a fun DVD. My kids love love love to watch this (even multiple times in a row if I let them). The music is very creative and energetic. I would recommend it for any parent with young kids. You can tell this was recorded prior to their Disney deal, but it doesn't make it any less enjoyable. In fact, maybe that makes it even more impressive. A new and refreshing alternative for those of us parents who have watched more Wiggles than we can take.

Imagination Movers - Stir it Up Overview

THe biggest problem with this DVD is the order of the episodes as someone has complained about in many other video reviews. Several episodes specifically refer to an episode where a bootstrap is used on James's brake line. The episode in which this actually occurs is one of the last on the DVD. It would have taken like 10 more minutes to have the videos play in chronological order. Other than that it is a good DVD with 8 Thomas and Friends stories in which James is prominent. I have a personal complaint too. I purchased this in a store not online. Even though the box said it includes a bonus WOODEN train. My box actually had a TAKE ALONG Bertie in it. My son didn't have a Bertie so I was eager to get it but I didn't realize it was a metal take along kind not a wooden series. My son has no other take along items because we think the wooden series is far better.

My son loves the Elmo's world DVD's so we have a large collection of them. When I purchased this I did not realize that one of the three segments is the same as one of the segments in the "What Makes you Happy" Elmo's World DVD. Had I known that I probably would have purchased a different DVD with three segments that he does not already have. The segment that repeats itself is the dancing segment. Anyone with a child who loves Elmo's World knows that you'll end up watching the DVD's over and over again. He doesn't seem to mind seeing the same segment than twice in two videos, but it can drive me crazy. Other than that this is just as good as any of the other Elmo's World DVD's. I like that it introduces books since my son started watching this before he was interested in having us read him any of his books, and now he seems more interested in his books. I highly recommend it if your child likes Elmo.

I bought Calm Baby for my 7-month old daughter who was getting very fussy at bedtime (ear piercing screams). The images/music on Calm Baby are exactly what I hoped for. However, there is a segment with a little duck that is a problem. The duck is preparing for bedtime--it occurs throughout the dvd. My problem with it is that my sleepy daughter will immediately become excited when the duck appears because it is very different from the rest of the dvd which is mostly nature/soft images. In addition, she is jerked out of sleep by the rat-a-tat-tat drum sound that accompanies the duck. The duck is really cute but he wakes up my daughter every time. The rest of the dvd is perfect to lull the little one to sleep. If I could edit out the duck, it is just what I wanted and I would highly recommend it.

In Episode One, New Girl in Town, Sissy's life has become a whirlwind of change. Formerly a Navy Chaplin, Sissy's father becomes Pastor of a church in the Midwest. And the move from sunny, funky California to the heartland of the Midwest brings on a new kind of culture shock for Sissy as well as the residents of the picturesque town. When the school "princess" takes issue with Sissy's style of dress, Sissy must come to grips with small town and small church politics. In the end, she learns that moderation and kindness can make the worst situations tolerable.

This Dvd is good and hopefully is just the beginning of a series of dvd's for teenage girls.

My son, now 14, LOVED this video when he was a toddler/preschooler. His daycare would often put a video on toward the end of the day when parents would be picking up, especially if the weather was such that they could not be outside. He NEVER wanted to leave when this video was playing, so I ended up buying it so that he could finish watching it when we got home. Of course, I ended up watching it too and have to admit that I enjoyed it. One of my favorite parts is the song medley about food, especially the one about broccoli sung in opera-style. I passed our VHS copy of this video on to my nephew for his children and plan to buy a DVD version for my niece's son too. Maybe someday I'll have the pleasure of buying it for my own grandchildren. I would fully expect ALL the Wee Sing videos to be equally entertaining.

Before I sat down to watch this film I had my doubts about enjoying it as I'm not really much of a soccer ball fan but by the end of the film I was completely turned around. Soccer Dog: European Cup is one of the best films I have ever seen. What's so good about it? For a start, there's a dog in it. However, this is no ordinary dog, this dog plays soccer ball. Soccer Dog: European Cup is a action packed from start to finish and Scoccer Dog scores many fantastic goals which puts George Best's goal scoring skills to shame. Not only does this film have action, Soccer Dog: European Cup also has it's emotional moments such as the scene when Soccer Dog kicked the ball in to the well and couldn't get it back, Soccer Dog's helps and barks of sadness truly tugged at my heartstrings, the moment when he manages to retrieve his ball from the well is a joyous moment.
Soccer Dog: European Cup has some of the finest young actors I have ever seen, they have mastered the Scottish accent to a 'T', every time they spoke,I could close my eyes and it would feel like I was in the glens of Achtermuchty. Not only were their accents and acting first class so were their soccer ball skills

Soccer Dog: European Cup has changed my life, I never used to be too keen on soccer but now I absolutely love the game. I watch Soccer Dog: European Cup at least three times a weeks and every Sunday. The Sugar Creek Gang: The Great Canoe Fish Review

This is the second installment in the Sugar Creek Gang movie series. This time around Barry Bowman makes good on the promise he made to the gang in Swamp Robber.

Everyone is back, including Bill, Poetry, Circus, Dragonfly, Big Jim, and Little Jim. For this adventure we float down Sugar Creek with them as they search for a legendary fish that is supposed to be the size of a canoe. It's fun to see previously unexplored parts of Sugar Creek where it actually widens out into a large river (and eventually turns into a fifty foot waterfall, but I don't want to give too much away)!

This movie develops the bullies a little more and fleshes out the gang. We also meet Shorty Long for the first time. I watched The Great Canoe Fish with a group of kids who have since insisted on repeated viewings, so it definitely has the kid appeal... but there's more to it than that, because even adults should enjoy watching this nostalgic series. The movie is not rated, but I recommend it for ages five and up. If your family enjoyed the first Sugar Creek Gang movie then they are sure to love this one!

A Review of the Sunshine Movie

No planned rocket launch into space the expectation of a lackluster film Sunshine for me. It seemed like a task for an interesting film in a few areas do in a spaceship. To add salt into the wound, some had to be used by them and over and over again. Apparently subliminal flashes of images that have ordered some random and some were made more quality to the scenes. Also, the background music, has a much-needed emotion to the Sunshine> Film.

The team's decision to detour the mission was the obvious critical mistake, in more errors than one after the other, as the crew members die one after another went awry. The mysterious fifth crew member in the Sunshine movie could easily be a false alien killers.

However, the person who was actually the only surviving crew member of the first Icarus mission which has become disturbingly crazy. The situation was confusing, as mostthe remaining crew agreed to one of their crew members, Trey (Benedict Wong), the sabotage of the mission to kill suspicious.

It was another example of lack of mission protocol, which would avoid the whole situation in reality. The entire movie was based on the idea of some amateur astronaut to go against a non-existing mission log. The second mission, Icarus in the Sunshine movie is a lame excuse for saving the Sun and the whole of humanity.

After meeting theMission priority, then the team can choose to rendezvous with Icarus of old, looking for survivors, and whatever. I know that someone who thinks like I should, the mission captain. I mean, what the heck they thought that fantasy space ship maneuvers off the freaking sun?

They know how to be able to continue to observe a series of upcoming idiotic mistake that fell on the crew. Luckily, the film director, Danny Boyle (28 Days Later and Trainspotting) have a spectacularJob make the Sunshine entertaining film & CGI (Computer Generated Imagery) range.

I believe that the director is a real challenge to the film entertaining, because the more interesting anti-thesis of the Sunshine film history in the mission after mission protocol to be met, not by the Railway Mission, release load and return to originally had different planet.

Even in death, Michelle Yeoh character, Corazon in the Sunshine Filmsitting in a symbolic display. She sat on her floor with crossed legs, and the surviving plants and some soil tightly in her hand above the ground. The camera enlarges the hands to show that her last attempt was fed to the surviving plants, their blood and sweat. You may also have hoped that the plant will survive and thrive, contribute to the lives of their countrymen were crew members.

To continue, they had a man, Capa (Cillian Murphy), a total delusional genius, whose decision led to extend the Sunshine Filmand a further half an hour. Then there was Cassie (Rose Bryne), a woman who was to put on the delusional genius. Last but not least, there was the naked priest that does not appear no longer about God. He could probably marry Wise Up & start of some use and love the two birds.

The apparatus that they are so flammable that they practically had himself sustained it for life. Perhaps Capa and Cassie are still alive in the sun. The energy of the sun does not appear toHarm him in the end. One thing is sure, would be the continuation of the Sunshine movie very interesting. Is carried out starting from the above starting point and correct, the film Sunshine to be definitely better than its predecessor. Something better than the mere stupidity of the Sunshine movie in the core will be a winner!

After a long period of anticipation and excitement from the fans, the Hannah Montana movie finally released today in theaters all across the U.S. and Canada! UK, Europe and the rest of the world are published, either come later this month or next month, at the latest.

Me, along with other parents who have purchased tickets in advance for the second review of the day at 12:30 Clock walked straight to the ticket controller, and on the way to the screen the number 1! The Hannah Montana> Film stars Miley Cyrus as Miley Stewart (name probably changed, so the young audience not wrong her life in the film with her real life - and also with Miley's father Billy Ray, on behalf of Billy Ray Cyrus, Billy Ray Stewart altered Hannah Montana Movie ). It is also the rest of the cast from the original TV series on the Disney Channel, which is currently in the 3rd Season. Nobody knows whether it is a 4th Season, but Miley Cyrus will not be told that theywould carry me on starring in her debut series!

In this film, Hannah Montana, Miley Stewart (Miley Cyrus) is just an average student by day and an awesome blonde wig, rock star by night, which at the coolest events around the country. Billy Ray Stewart (Billy Ray Cyrus) is your manager at night and not make a very good job of hiding his true relationship with Hannah Montana. With the pressure on the shoulder to find out the true identity of Hannah, thismakes little sense - typical of Disney.

Intro: Iron Man is a humorous action packed film on the Marvel comic, Iron Man is based.

Review: Tony Stark isthe star player in this film. He is a man with no real substance in his character. he is a womanizer, player, and an ego maniac ... until it is a reality in the form of a terrorist abduction encounters. This is where he learns what's really going on and is Iron Man

Iron Man is a movie very well done. There are a lot of comedy and teachings. Tony comes back from his terrible experience with a change of heart and a new and improved mission.

I was veryimpressed with this film and how it was minimal language and sexuality. But not everything was left out ...

Cons: Tony Stark is a playboy. By not bringing that standard so modestly dressed women, some kissing, and a short bed scene. Nothing gives way, or not worth seeing the film.

There are a lot of violence and death. However, what you're all action movies. The speech was surprisingly low-key. There were variations of he **, bi ***, and since **. Nothing too bad.They deemed it child friendly.

I would avoid the deleted scenes. There are some very bad scenes and are much more sexual content. I am very happy they had the slide on the left!

Conclusion: Although there are some questionable scenes and the film is not perfect, I think Iron Man is a good movie, a moral compass and a willingness to change your heart and do what is right shows. Robert Downey Jr. was perfect for the role of Tony Stark and I amIron Man 2

When the credits roll, at the very end there is an opening for Iron Man 2

Most of us have an alarming studies, see there. For the first time in history, the life expectancy of the next generation is even cheaper than their parents. I was so excited when I these findings, angry but did not look surprised. Take a look around. In today's society, it is the norm for parents to be "too busy" to cook healthy meals. Children are raised laden processed foods containing hydrogenated fats and chemical preservatives. "French fries" are the number 1 of the vegetables eaten in the United States(they call that a vegetable?).

Meals are eaten on the run. Fast food is commonplace and "going out to play" has been replaced with video games and movie rental. Is it any wonder we're in this situation? Most adults would rather not deal with that, it's easier to do everything, everything is put in order and only some chicken nuggets in the microwave and call it dinner. It's easier to let the kids take on a rigid film when they are outside of a park.

Must changehappen, and it must start at home with nutritious eating and physical activity. And where do I begin? Let's talk about nutrition for our children. What's healthy for kids is basically what's healthy for us all. A diet rich in nutrients from whole grains, vegetables, fruits, lean protein and a healthy amount of fat. One goal is to truly "your kids' food for the majority of the time feed (a pop-tart is not really eat!). You want to choose foods as close to their natural state as possible. Fruit andVegetables are an obvious choice.

Have you ever noticed how children are fruit and raw vegetables if they are sitting in front of them eat all cut up? Keep some around and see what happens. The breakfast is very important! Serve whole grain cereals instead of sugary ones, a bagel with peanut butter or oatmeal. Use skim milk versus whole. If you select meat, chicken and fish over beef and pork. Make sure that the meat in the center of the meal, but rather a company servedwith vegetables and whole grain pasta or rice. Serve a salad with dinner actually improve the nutrition of the meal. Teach them how to read food labels and what to look for. Get involved in it and it's fun! To learn to love children and this is a lesson they will take with them and use throughout their lives.

This DVD contains two episodes of Shalom Sesame; the Chanukah episode and "Sing Around the Seasons". My children enjoy both, but the Chanukah program is the better of the two episodes. Shalom Sesame introduces us to Oscar The Grouch's Israeli cousin, Moise Oofnick who plays a prime role in this episode selling unpalatable versions of sufganiyot (jelly doughnuts). Children will learn the basics of the history and traditions of Chanukah, a little Hebrew, and a little bit about Israel along the way. Kids will even learn how to play with a dreidel. Although, the program seems outdated in places, it is still enjoyable and my kids have watched it repeatedly just as they have other episodes of Sesame Street. We had this in VHS before we purchased the DVD and this video has become a holiday tradition in our household.

Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian, PG, 22 May - Ben Stiller is back as a security guard, shows the need to be realistic with all the museum a lot: this time in DC. With the voices of the name stars this should be a nice if your children liked the first movie and want more.

Up, are PG, 29 May - Pixar's computer animated films in one rulekid no-viewing question required. This has a grumpy old man by Ed Asner, expressed the balloons ties to his house and goes through an aerial adventure.

Land of the Lost, PG-13, June 5 - Will Farrell heads the restart of the 70's Saturday morning kid's classic. Why show an adaptation of the children have a PG-13 rating? We suspect that dinosaurs are a bit rough and the country is a bit too creepy. Take care with the little one with this.

There are some filmmaking teams that invariably bring out the best in each other, and that's definitely the case with director Carroll Ballard and cinematographer Caleb Deschanel. They previously collaborated on The Black Stallion and Never Cry Wolf, and Fly Away Home is their third family film that deserves to be called a classic. Inspired by Bill Lishman's autobiography, the movie tells the story of a 13-year-old girl (Anna Paquin) who goes to live with her estranged, eccentric father (Jeff Daniels) following the death of her mother. At first she's withdrawn and reclusive, but finds renewed happiness when she adopts an orphaned flock of baby geese and, later, teaches them to migrate using an ultralight. Sensitively directed and stunningly photographed, the movie has flying sequences that are nothing short of astonishing, and Daniels and Paquin (Oscar winner for The Piano) make a delightful father-daughter duo. (Ironically, the digital video disc is not available in widescreen format, but the image quality is brilliant.) --Jeff Shannon
